One Sunday afternoon I was sitting on Samara Beach, taking in the sights. A woman and her mother were scoping out the sand, looking for a place to lay their towels. We locked eyes, and they asked if I would watch their things while they went for a wee swim. I of course told them to enjoy and take their time. After they came out of the water, we chatted⦠and chatted⦠and chatted - until the sun went down! That night, Britton and I went for dinner and drinks, continuing our chats. She told me the story of her and John. I told her, everything.
We stayed in touch, actually running into each other again on the same beach a year later (not planned) and when I learned the two were to wed, I was tickled to offer my services as their photographer.
Their venue at Hacienda Barrigona did not disappoint, neither did their friends, family, the food, and community they brought together as one. I was over-the-moon to be a part of it and have core memories of the day I will cherish, always.
There are people who come into your life for a reason, a season, a lifetime. I pray I stay connected with my new friends for as long as they can stand me. Congratulations and love to you both!
